I was reading about 'Lateral Thinking' and De Bono the other day. The book was a great reading. Many a times i have seen people following old and inefficient processes just because others were doing it before.

The book shows that we have a tendancy to follow and not innovate and think out of the box. Lateral thinking is a tool to break away from the processes that bind and restrict out thinking. I guess i am myself guilty of not practising lateral thinking consciously even after reading this book.

After reading this book, those famous lines of Robert Frost' have started making more sense to me.

"And I took the one less traveled by
And that has made all the difference"
